If I had a category in that tag cloud located on the right column titled "Apologies For Being An Absent Blogger" it would probably dwarf the rest of the current tags because I pull virtual disappearing acts far too often. Its my sophomore year, and ever since summer ended, I've been having trouble remaining the pop-culture zeitgeist that finds time to blog/tweet/read 200 blogs etc. to keep up with the musical scene/new media innovations and pop culture in general.
The nagging commitment of "getting an education" and "learning things" always seems to get in the way.Luckily( just in time for finals) I've found a way to change that.I guess academic lethargy is a good motivator to push me back into cultural relevance.
While I am sure that you are absolutely ecstatic that I will return to my intermittent posting with my rambling, punctuation abusing writing style, I just enjoy having things to share again.
Electric Wire Hustle is one of my new favorite New Zealand exports, accompanied of course by the All Blacks ( the rugby team) and Flight of the Conchords ( which may be breaking up, how sad is that? Bret and Jemaine are quite wonderful and even though one of them has a movie out that my personal entertainment source above all sources- New York Magazine's Culture Vulture Blog- said may be having problems, they should still keep the show. Its HBO, perfect venue for their talent. Look at that, I'm rambling already. Sorry.... )
Back to the band, they are a group of Kiwi's who do that Modern Soul Fusion thing that makes my heart beat a little faster when I listen to it. Its so good, seriously. Good enough for me to scrounge around the blogosphere looking for new tracks and end up thankful they have a working Myspace.
